Modern-day Hermits

Published on July 10, 2000

Here’s an interesting BBC story about teenage boys in Japan who have become modern-day hermits, never coming out of their rooms - or in one case, never coming out of the family’s kitchen, forcing the family to build a new kitchen. This is something you would likely never see in the US because the culture is so different, but I found this to be a fascinating read.
