“I Am Who I Am”

Published on July 10, 2000

A man tries to change his name to God, but is refused by the judge. He decided to choose the name “I Am Who I Am” instead. This actually made me wonder if there were hardset rules on what you could and could not change your name to. While I couldn’t find any hard laws, I did find this site that lists general name-changing guidelines (for the US). Obviously, the man formerly known as Prince got around guideline #3, so they’re not completely set in stone.

BusinessPlan Archive

The Internet boom and bust of 1996 to 2002 was the most important business phenomenon of the past several decades. In the wake of this historic period, we have an unprecedented opportunity to learn from our past mistakes and successes. To help us learn from history, the Business Plan Archive was created to collect business plans and related documents from the dot com era. These plans Ð the “blueprints” that lay out the assumptions and strategies of Internet entrepreneurs Ð will enable entrepreneurs and researchers to conduct both qualitative and quantitative research. Read about WebVans failed assumptions…

Ever wish you could be a superhero?

Or maybe James Bond? One of the Charlie’s Angels? This woman not only wished it, but created a list and went through training to attempt to become a real life superhero. It’s an interesting read - I imagine she’s probably not the only one out there that has done something like this.

Modern-day Hermits

Here’s an interesting BBC story about teenage boys in Japan who have become modern-day hermits, never coming out of their rooms - or in one case, never coming out of the family’s kitchen, forcing the family to build a new kitchen. This is something you would likely never see in the US because the culture is so different, but I found this to be a fascinating read.

Danishefsky Group Here is another picture of the group at the SKI lab. I am not really sure when it was taken, but I remember for sure that it took several attempts. Too sunny. Not the right buildings in the background.

An Interview with BCP

Interviewing BCP With all the hectic activity that surrounds an album release, it’s amazing that Fresh Joe had the time to sit down with BCP Online and give his thoughts on his new solo album. Even more amazing that he brought along his brother Ray, executive producer and main BCP musician, to offer his thoughts as well. Sit back and listen to them break down the album song by song…
